The NBU has put out an email warning of starvation danger as I have been posting for over three weeks now. Please be aware that a heavy colony may have mostly Ivy honey and in reality not that much they can use. Conversely they may be very light of stores and so needing fed. If it stays cold then feed fondant/candy and if it warms up then they say a kilo to 1300mls but I go for one to one. Which is to say one kilo to a litre.
Mine are self maintaining with fresh nectar in the combs yesterday but that is me not you. Then again I know what is going on, do YOU?
