I heard last night that there are massive losses amongst the commercial bee men in Scotland.
Colonies are still dying off from the winter weather and losses of over 90% were quoted.
I can only sympathise with these guys who work so very hard to make a living and are so vulnerable to the weather, and the finger points directly at weather not anything more sinister.
It is the colonies which were headed by the queens mated or rather not properly mated in 2012 that are failing. Bad weather equals bad mating which in turn carries the inevitable toll that we are now seeing.
Good luck in building your numbers up again.
