500mls solvent. Now this can be pure turps, or 300 white spirit and 200 turps or even less but the turps smell is what sells this product.
Melt it all in a double boiler and pour into containers and allow to set.
Rub on with clean lint free cloth, leave for 20 minutes to allow the solvent to evaporate and buff up.

I have kept bees since 1987 and for most of that time I have used Poly Hives. If you want to know why then by exploring the site I suspect you will find the answers to that one! I am now retired and have recently (late 2016) moved into the Scottish Borders from the East Mids though I was born and brought up in the Aberdeen area.
